Thank you!

Thank you so much for your wonderful support in 2018! The below messages are from just a few of the disabled people, or their family members, who wanted to personally say thank you for supporting Scope and helping to change their lives:

“You’ve helped us realise our family isn’t alone on this journey – thank you.” Christie, who called Scope’s helpline after her daughter, Elise, was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. She realised she didn’t have to feel alone or worried for the future.

“Harry loves to be kissed and cuddled.” Jenny, who felt lost when her son, Harry, was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. But thanks to you, now she knows how to support Harry after receiving guidance and advice from Scope’s helpline.

“It’s thanks to you I’ve got a whole network of new friends.” Gail, who used Scope’s Online Community for advice and support from people who understood.

“Thank you for helping me see who I really am.” Paula, who called Scope’s helpline to find the answers to her questions after being diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at 60.

“Thank you for being there for families like ours” – Dan, who says that Scope’s family support services are invaluable to families with disabled children.

“Without you, my daughter wouldn’t have achieved everything that she has. Thank you.” Aslam, who called Scope’s helpline says his family got the support they desperately needed and now their children’s future is bright.

“You helped change our family’s lives and I’m so grateful.” Sarah, who used Scope’s sleep services to help overcome the sleep problems that her daughter, Florence, was struggling with.

“Your support has made such a positive difference to my life. Thank you.” Bev, who reached out to Scope’s Online Community. Making a group of new friends online, Bev doesn’t feel alone anymore.

“Thanks to you, I no longer feel completely lost about Harry’s Cerebral Palsy.” Jenny, Harry’s mum, who found the support she needed after calling Scope’s Helpline.

“It’s thanks to you that I can go into schools and challenge disability attitudes.” Chloe, is just one Scope Role Models who collectively helped deliver discussions to over 1,700 secondary school students.

With your support, things are changing for disabled people. Our aim is to support 59 per cent more families in the year ahead and that means your support is more important than ever. Thank you for being a Disability Gamechanger!

Scope exists to make this country a place where disabled people have the same opportunities as everyone else. Until then, we'll be here.
